A little about Victoria…
Currently, as Executive Director of Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce, Victoria George wears many hats. She equips local businesses with tools and connections for growth, keeps residents informed about relevant programs, and guides tourists toward local attractions and businesses ensuring them an unforgettable experience.
For ten years, she served as President of the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter (EBAS). Under her leadership at EBAS, she raised funds for multiple renovation projects and developed community programs for pet owners and care programs for homeless animals in our community.
An Upper Peninsula resident since 2004, George has been involved in many commerce and civic initiatives in and around Schoolcraft County, including volunteer work at Seney National Wildlife Refuge welcome center, Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Schoolcraft County and three-year CBC co-chair. She also worked as an Optician for Dr. Shelly Baker for five years.
George graduated from Kent State University with a BS in Fashion Merchandising and a Minor in Business Management. She has worked in marketing and purchasing for leading national and global companies including OfficeMax, Integrated Logistics Systems and LuK, Inc. She currently resides on the Garden Peninsula with her husband Kelly, former President, and CEO of mBank, her two Great Pyrenees, Ariel and Leo, and her English Bulldog, Kane.
