If you have been wondering how to empower your kids to save for their future, National Credit Union Youth Month is a great opportunity to start! Join us this April as credit unions across the country encourage youth to start saving regularly. This celebration is a great time to engage kids at Limestone Federal Credit Union and within your community to help them learn that saving, no matter how small the amount, can help them achieve their financial and real-life dreams.
How to participate:
For parents
Stop by our main branch and learn about savings tips for kids and education savings programs. If you open a new account for a child, they’ll be entered to win an account match of up to to $100*(terms and conditions apply). If you deposit into an account within the month of April, you will be entered to win a Family Fun Basket!
For your child
We’ll be running some contests for kids to win! Your child can join in on our Coloring Page contest and guess how many jelly beans are in our Jelly Bean Jar.
Coloring Page Contest
Download our coloring page and your child can color the page for a chance to win a Family Fun Basket and social media recognition. We will display your child’s coloring page in our branch for everyone to see! At the end of the month, we’ll choose a winner (contacted via email/phone).

Kids will have the opportunity to guess the number of jelly beans in our Jelly Bean Jar. The child who guesses the correct or closest to the correct number in the jar, wins the Jelly Bean Jar!

New Child’s Savings Accounts:
A qualifying New Member Account must be for a child under the ages of 17. *Limestone Federal Credit Union will match up to $100 for newly established child savings accounts that are active for 90 days with a minimum of 3 deposits made within those 90 days. We will contact the Member via their contact information we have on file. The winner will have 72 hours to claim their prize. Claiming their prizes is defined as contacting us with a notice of pick-up time.
Deposits:
A qualifying deposit can be made by any Limestone Federal Credit Union Member. We will contact the Member via their contact information we have on file. The winner will have 72 hours to claim their prize. Claiming their prizes is defined as contacting us with a notice of pick-up time.
Coloring Page Contest:
In order to submit a coloring page, participants must be under the age of 17 and reside within the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Submissions must include an email and phone number to win. As well as have a signed photo release form by a parent or legal guardian. The winner will have 72 hours to claim their prize. Claiming their prizes is defined as contacting us with a notice of pick-up time.
Jelly Bean Jar:
In order to submit a guess into the Jelly Bean Jar, participants must be under the age of 17 and reside within the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Submissions must include an email and phone number to win. The winner will have 72 hours to claim their prize. Claiming their prizes is defined as contacting us with a notice of pick-up time.
